Social Media Strategy, Management & Creative Direction for BWI Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
Project Overview:
Cover Paige Creative (CPC) collaborated with Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in April 2018 to take the lead on its social media platforms for their annual business networking and career fair, SynergyBWI. They requested our assistance in order to market and create original social media content for BWI’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts, to attract new event attendees and maintain a consistent brand voice and standard of quality. The end goal of this project was to actively and consistently engage the event attendees both before and during SynergyBWI to promote the airport, event sponsors and partners while also creating a unique and memorable experience for its attendees.
Benefit to Customer:
Cover Paige Creative developed a social media package for BWI, which included an onsite consultation meeting and creative oversight of their social media channels prior to the event. CPC’s social media content creation comprised the development of original social media memes, captions and hashtags produced to engage event attendees and promote SynergyBWI’s mission.
In addition to ideating, planning and scheduling all social media posts, CPC was also on-site for the event to direct and produce the live social media feeds for BWI’s accounts. This gave us the opportunity to actively engage attendees through live stream videos that captured the event in real-time and provided virtual guest an opportunity for live Q&A. Ultimately, BWI’s social media accounts (including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) received a major boost in engagement, and impressions and gained 50 new followers in addition to quadrupling its views on Instagram stories.
